Really cool pictures, you two! Jen, how did you get the blurring of your picture?
In that shot, I'm using a 50mm prime lens with the aperture at the lowest number possible... 1.8. That creates a really shallow depth of field so that only a few details are in focus. Hopefully Amy will do a tutorial on that soon. *wink, wink*
